Tommy was born in Norristown, Pennsylvania,USA (just outside of Philadelphia) on February 14th,1957.
Tommy's uncle is the late Jimmy Smith (Hammond B3 Organist and Jazz pioneer), AND the late "Jaco Pastorius" are BOTH from Norristown.
Tommy has been living and playing in NEW YORK CITY, having lives in Europe and Japan before returning to New York City.
Tommy is an Alumni & Former Instructor of THE BERKLEE College Of Music in Boston,MA.USA. Drummer's Collective{DCI} NYC,USA, the NEW SCHOOL in NYC, STUDIO FORTE in Tokyo, Japan.
