The Mingus Big Band continues its weekly tradition at a new venue: the magical Midnight Theatre
Since 1991, the dynamic ensemble has held down a weekly residency in New York City to become a NYC institution and ever-evolving showcase of the music of Charles Mingus, and of the individual artistic expression of the best musicians in the world.
The Mingus Big Band has eleven recordings to its credit, six nominated for Grammys, and one win in 2011 with Live at Jazz Standard. A new album, The Charles Mingus Centennial Sessions released in October 2022.
Tickets $45-$55. Student tickets available at the door with valid Student ID for $20, as capacity allows.
No minimum for food or beverage.
