The Mingus Big Band continues its weekly tradition at a new venue: Midnight Theatre

Since 1991, the dynamic ensemble Mingus Big Band has held down a weekly residency to become a New York City institution, an ever-evolving showcase for the music of Charles Mingus, and a platform for the individual artistic expression of the best musicians in the world.

Mingus Big Band has eleven recordings to its credit, six nominated for Grammys, and one win in 2011 with Live at Jazz Standard. A new album, The Charles Mingus Centennial Sessions was released in October 2022.

Tickets $45-$55. Student tickets available at the door with valid Student ID for $20, as capacity allows.
